zenon time filtering issue

At the turn of the year (2021), some of our customers have encountered problems* with filtering the Alarm Message List (AML) or Chronological Event List (CEL/audit trail), Extended Trend (ETM) or Report Generator in unsupported zenon versions older than zenon 7 (outside the product life cycle)**.

We're sorry for any inconvenience and have already fixed the issue for several versions (see drop-down selection below). If your installation seems to be affected, please contact us to provide you with a solution as quickly as possible.

*Technical assessment:

The bug causes an exception if a time filter dialog is opened on a PC with a system time newer than December 31, 2020. Once the dialog box is closed, the runtime still works. It does not affect the data collection (driver communication), the data storage (historian/archiving) or the process interaction. A second issue concerns the year selection in the time filter dialog: only years from 1990-2020 can be selected.

In order to resolve this issue, you can sign up for a service level agreement and continuously acquire the latest zenon version. This is the highly recommended path to avoid similar troubles in the future.

To deliver a shorthanded solution, we took the decision to also provide patches (build updates) for above mentioned versions outside of the official product life cycle for a small fee.
